Port Arthur is one of the most tragic and beautiful places in Tasmania. It has a calm and peaceful air despite past and recent tragedies. It is a good place to remember how precious life is.
These are some of my photos from a late Winter day at the convict site.

Wow - you really gave me a feel for the day that you had at Port Arthur - it really is a most haunting, still and quietly introspective place isn't it? We went there for a day on our honeymoon and I am so pleased we did. Despite feeling profoundly sad and tortured by the end of it - feeling the torture of the place - it was a necessary silence that filled us. You are right, there is beauty to be seen there too and it reaffirms to you the most important things in life. xo LOVE YOU ! LOVE YOUR BLOG! SO PLEASED U DID THIS ...
